Heard in Hollywood Fall Fashion Preview

There are a lot of colors in the rainbow from which to create your wardrobe, but for the coming fall, you can’t go wrong with scarlet.
Red used to be a color reserved for royalty, now every fashionista can look like a queen everyday with a few simple touches.
Moschino has a lovely “cheap and chic” wool felt coat for the fall. With its cascading ruffles, it retails for about $830. This coat would be perfect paired with Christian Louboutin’s “Telegram Petit” suede satchel bag. Yes, this shoe master makes bags too! It costs around $1195, but is simply gorgeous with its gold link handles and leather piping.
Look for stars like Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria to sport this eye-catching color. They’d be pretty much guaranteed to pop on any carpet (as if you can tear your eyes away now!)
Another way to get a large dose of red into your work wardrobe is Ann Taylor’s pebble crepe sleeveless shift dress. It retails for about $148 and paired with a blazer, would be fantastic for day. You can take the look into the night by bagging the blazer and baring those arms. Change your jewelry… perhaps a long bauble necklace, which is huge this summer and is sure to carry through the fall… some stilettos and you, my friend, are good to go. Don’t forget to change your purse!
Speaking of purses, skins are in for the fall. Real or fake… it doesn’t matter. A nice crocodile bag can cost as much as $2400, while a good fake is wallet friendly at under a hundred bucks. Just keep in mind, those PVC purses can lose their croc look over time, but if you spent 60 dollars and the bag lasts the season, you’ve probably gotten your money’s worth.
For something middle of the road, I suggest the “Greta” bag by Furla for $460. It’s great for Sunday brunch with the girls, or every day. Liz Claiborne’s “Shopper” bag is only 60 bucks and looks fabulous. Whether you choose croc or python, I would stick to neutral colors.
Look for Mischa Barton and Nicole Richie to carry some sort of big exotic skin bag this fall.
If a red coat is too daring for you with your skins, try a cape or cape jacket instead. They’re great for warding off that autumn chill, while still looking fresh and modern.
Mary Kate Olsen has worn capes in the past, and I fully expect to see her rocking a nice wool, or cashmere one around New York City when the weather starts to turn cooler.
And finally, ankle boots are back. Don’t worry; the 80’s didn’t come along for the ride.
These boots are hip and modern. Jimmy Choo has several pairs just itching to work their way onto your feet. We’re talking leather with gold studs and of course the trademark sky-high heel. There’s also suede, in a variety of colors and regular leather. Seems kinda tame after the studs, huh?
Christian Louboutin also has a hot little boot in suede with a wedge heel. It is not to be missed!!
Another way to update the look is throwing on a mini skirt and some leggings. Look for Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes to embrace this simple glamour on their days off.
Just a word to the wise, please leave the wild colors and embellishments for date night, unless you work in a non corporate environment like me, and pretty much anything goes.
Enjoy! And happy shopping.
