How to Create and Use a Myspace Page
• Go to http://www.myspace.com and click on signup.
• Enter basic information and click signup. Then check your email for a confirmation e-mail.
• Go back to http://www.myspace.com and enter in your e-mail and password. You will be taken to your homepage.
• You can write about yourself for others to see by clicking on “Edit Profile” in the rectangular box in the left hand corner. From that box, you can also change account settings, add pictures and videos and view how your profile looks to others.
• There is another rectangular box where you can permanently create you URL. This is the internet address people can view your profile at. Ex. Our URL is http://www.myspace.com/fdsdating. Be aware that once you create your URL, you cannot change it, so choose wisely a name you will like to keep.
• In the “My Mail” box you can check your new and sent mail, view friend requests and post bulletins.
• Along the upper horizontal panel are links. Click on “Browse” and you can find people in your area or any area. When you are viewing someone’s profile, click “add to friends.” You can add a comment on someone’s page only when you are their friend.
• Click on the “groups” tab and become a member of a group to meet new people.
Expand your network by looking at the friends of your friends and begin networking.
