You're smart. You're attractive. You're single. O.K. so meeting eligible people isn't as easy as you thought it would be, or is it? How do you find an eligible potential? It doesn't take rocket science to figure out a mate isn’t going to drop out of the sky into your arms. So what do you do?
There is no magic formula for meeting men or women. Sometimes you've just got to go for it hook, line and sinker. Being shy and standoffish will get you nothing but another lonely Saturday night; who needs more of those? Don't even concern yourself with the looks issue; the prettiest woman or most handsome man doesn't always get the best dates.
Being single can sometimes be a good thing, but this article is dedicated to those who are just a tad bit tired of being single.
Before we get started, here are a couple key points to remember:
If you don't ask, you'll NEVER know.
If a total stranger turns you down, SO WHAT?
ALWAYS be clean and presentable BEFORE you leave the house. It takes the same amount of time to put on any old thing as it does to put on a nice outfit.
So how do you meet single men and women? It's as simple as the following:
1. Making your friends aware that you're single and available. They may know someone who is single, available, and your type.
2. Host a singles party. Invite every single person you know and ask them to bring along a single person of the opposite sex.
3. Don't waste another second on a relationship that is going nowhere.
4. Go out alone.
5. Say hi to the girl or guy who catches your eye.
6. Go to museums.
7. Go to a club. If you see Mr. or Ms. Right, send them a drink. (Tell the bartender to send them whatever they are drinking, compliments of you.)
8. Attend sporting events.
9. Go out with the boys/girls, but split up at the door.
10. Smile more.
11. Attend events, fairs and concerts.
12. Clean up (a date) at the Laundromat.
13. Get your laugh (and date) on at a Comedy Club.
14. Who said office relationships don't work? Find out for yourself. (be very careful with this one)
15. Take a singles cruise.
16. Take a class.
17. Be a Tourist in your city. (I live in Chicago and have never been to the top of the Sears Tower. Have you seen all of your city's Tourist Attractions? Go! You just might meet your Mr. Or Miss Right)
Meeting a Man or Woman shouldn't be a chore. Most of the aforementioned tips are quite fun! There are those who say, when you look for love you never find it. I say it's your life and if love hasn't showed up at your door --- go find it.
