From the Author
When the idea for this book first popped into my head a while ago, I thought, "Sure...yeah...right! How in the world can I write a book on this subject? I'm a woman! I can communicate my needs and feelings! Additionally I have studied psychology since I was nine informally and formally from High School on -- but to write a book on men and women and relate some of that subject matter to football? That's crazy!"

Even so, I did put the title down in my computer and stored it there; speaking to family and friends about the concept, hoping they would tell me I was crazy and confirm my belief in the book. They didn’t! While I struggled with my desire to write this book, when I finally sat down and did, the words poured onto the paper and I thank God for that.

I spent the next two years interviewing literally hundreds of men and women with a survey designed to get answers. Additional insight came from the hundreds and hundreds of successful and unsuccessful couples I have interviewed in my research over the years.

The results of my efforts and the wisdom of those people in my life who have taught and mentored me along my journey have been poured onto the pages. The rest comes from the hearts and minds of the people I surveyed.

One more note: While I originally wrote this book mainly for men, women absolutely loved it. Because of their response, I changed the second edition to be geared for both men and women. So despite the title, it is for men and women. Enjoy and live life to the fullest!
